Nice to see, that someone made a similar concept to mine! Haha.
I really like the solution with the outlines you chose, how exactly did you code that? The inbetween pings feels a little to long dark if you ask me, maybe a slow fade before fully disappearing?
Curious what you think of my version - so funny how a similar concept can feel so different after all :D
Really cool seeing what you made this time. I remember playing NORA in GWJ #97, so it was fun seeing you go in such a different direction here.
The ping mechanic is a great idea. Having the world briefly reveal itself and then fade back into darkness works really well with the parkour, especially when you’re halfway through a movement and suddenly lose your visual reference.
I also really liked the sound and the stark black/white presentation. The later platforming definitely pushed my keyboard skills a bit 😅, but the movement felt solid and I kept wanting to see what was next.
Very cool project for nine days. Glad I caught this one!
Thanks a lot!
Honestly every friend I gave this game to test found platforming quite challenging at times, so parts of the game were changed at the last minute to make them easier. I just couldn't test the game from the perspective of someone doesn't usually play movement-games, ahaha
